Yarrow’s Folly sprawls and twines across gentle hills, amidst fields of sun-bronzed wheat grown heavy with autumn bounty and apple trees drooping boozily under the weight of cider apples. Rosy bricks lay scattered amidst the grass, towers lean and walls sag under the weight of briars and brambles, and everywhere the blackberry scrambles and clambers and curls.

Inside those tumbled walls, plots and schemes and ambitions spring up like weeds while their gardener gathers wool and watches clouds. Riotous flowers flourish and thrive, feral and lush and overripe, hiding hooked and savage thorns.

And what is that colourful blur on the horizon (If only you were but a colourful blur vanishing on the horizon, Esme, saith Fimbly Dun. But no such luck.) trundling towards a kingdom of ripeness gone to rot? The Circus Under the Hills is here, set to perform for an old friend...
