In fact, we all are hypocrites. It’s unavoidable. There are too many counter-indicative philosophies and expectations running around in our culture, education, and institutions for us to be otherwise. Empathy is seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another and feeling with the heart of another.” – Alfred Adler. This has been a weakness of mines I have been improving throughout the years. I detail how a change in through process has allowed me to be more empathic towards others. Lastly, I detail To mirror mediation which is the practice of gazing at one's self, you use a mirror to make eye contact with your own reflection instead of closing your eyes and turning your attention inward. This practice can become deeply intimate since it requires you to spend a few quiet, mindful moments sitting with not just your thoughts, but your own watchful eyes.
