UNDERNEATH with Maggie Nodeland episodes

  • Building the Capacity to Hold the Life You Want

Do you sometimes feel blocked from taking action or overwhelmed by fear when stepping towards your dreams?

In this episode, I explore how we can expand and move through our fears in a way that our nervous system can actually hold.

I speak about some of the fears that came up for me before attending a retreat in Portugal, why unfamiliarity can feel so activating for the nervous system, and how I’ve been learning to meet those fears with more curiosity, rather than force.

I share about the importance of the body as part of expansion, and some practical tools for releasing emotions, such as shaking, dancing and breathwork.

I also reflect on another pattern that has come up for me lately: how I’m still learning to take up more space and show up more authentically in my work.

  • Life Update: An Offline Week in Portugal, the In-Between and Finding Alignment

In this episode, I share a little life update, reflecting on what is currently moving through me. I speak about the decision to leave London, an offline week in Portugal that gave me a lot of clarity, and the deeper questions I’ve been sitting with recently around alignment, intuition and how I want to live and create going forward.

I also reflect on the pressure I have felt to stay constantly online, what stepping away taught me about community and presence, and what I am currently learning about trusting myself on a deeper level.

This is very much an ‘in-the-process’ type of episode, where I share from the messy, unpolished but deeply potent place of the in-between.

  • Bring Your Dreams and Creative Ideas to Life in a Way That Honours Your Nervous System

In this episode, I speak about how change shows up in the nervous system and why we can feel anxious, blocked, or stuck right when we are about to move toward something we want.

I share examples from my own life of how fear, procrastination, and perfectionism have held me back from expressing myself.

We explore why this happens in the body, how the nervous system scans for safety, and what it means to work with our fears instead of pushing against them.

I also offer a gentler way forward, through taking smaller steps, building trust with yourself, and moving at a pace that honours the rhythm of your nervous system.
