“Understanding DC Comics – Part 1: Crisis Of Continuity!”
The DC Universe. It can be a complicated and sometimes convoluted place. There are hundreds of characters, both heroes and villains, all with rich origins and histories. But after eighty years of stories, the DC Universe doesn't have the easiest continuity to understand.
Why were classic heroes so violent? Why are there two guys named The Flash? If Superman didn't become a hero till he was an adult, then how is it he was a member of The Legion of Superheroes as Superboy? And exactly what are the true origin stories of such confusing characters like Hawkman, Wonder Woman, and Captain Marv... er, I mean Shazam?
We will attempt to dissect the beginnings of the ever growing, always evolving and infinitely confusing waters that make up the DC Universe continuity, navigating our way through the DC's Golden Age, the Silver Age and culminating in the creation of The Multiverse!
