As I inch past the ½ way marker of my 3rd decade on this planet, the more my interest in “what the kids are up to” grows. For me, paying attention to what our youth are experiencing, drawn to and creating is like a sneak peak into the future. If you’re not convinced, just google fortnight + metaverse and get back to me. However, I don’t have access to Gen Z on the daily, so I reached out to my friend Alex Mazerolle to learn more. 

Alex is the founder of a program for teen girls called Girlvana, which has been running for the last 12 years. She’s also just finished a book on the subject, which will be released by Penguin Random House in mid-2021. In this interview Alex entertains all my questions about how yoga can support the teens in our life, and what unique gifts & challenges the next generation is facing.
