In our final segment of the Academic Perspective, we interview Dr. Gary Gereffi from Duke University. Dr. Gereffi is a leading expert in Global Value Chain theory and he uses global value chains as a tool to help us better understand globalization and how the world’s major economies have evolved. 

So far on this show we’ve talked about private equity in a vacuum, but today we’re going to talk to about the history of globalization and the impact of business and free enterprise around the world. We'll also discuss how the COVID-19 crisis could be an impetus to rethink the global economic model.
