PNNL Chief Scientist and AI expert Svitlana Volkova harnesses open-source data to understand human behavior. She most recently helped organize an NAS workshop that addresses  technologies and methodologies that can be leveraged to inform real time public health decision making about infectious disease outbreaks, epidemics, and pandemics.
