Abdulkadir Sheikh Ali Ibrahim Baghdadi is an intellectual who holds a master's degree in Islamic Philosophy. He comes from a leading Sufi family of Somalia. Baghdadi held many political and administrative positions.

- Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs - 2015 

- Deputy Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Culture – 2011.

- 2005. He is also a member of the Somali Federal Parliament since 2009.
