It is important to advise that this is a sensitive, confronting area in paediatric healthcare but as difficult as it can be, it is extremely important to raise awareness. Should you or your child experience suicidal thoughts or ideations, please contact your local health services, GP, hospital emergency department, 000 or lifeline on 13 11 14.

Today I meet Margaret Ho from Calm and Connected. She is a Clinical Psychologist and works with children of all ages. She has a wide knowledge base on how to support children who are at their lowest or who raise the issue of suicide in their families. Today we discuss the ages most vulnerable to this, the best ways to help and discuss this with your children and how to handle self-harming.
