  • Brackets: Small metal squares bonded directly to the front of each tooth using a special adhesive.
  • Archwire: A thin metal wire that connects all the brackets. It acts as a track to guide the teeth into their new positions.
  • Bands: Metal rings cemented around the molars to provide anchorage and support for the archwire.
  • Ligatures (O-rings): Small elastic bands that hold the archwire in place within the brackets. They come in various colors, allowing for personalization.
  • Buccal Tubes: Welded onto the molar bands, buccal tubes provide slots for the archwire to enter and exit.
  • Springs and other auxiliaries: These components help apply the necessary forces to move your teeth.

The process involves regular adjustments by your orthodontist, who will tighten or change the archwires to continue the teeth-straightening process.
