“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me. To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;" Isaiah 61:1, NKJV.
The anointing is the fatness of the Spirit dwelling in a man and impacting men. And this fatness of the anointing is meant to be burnt thus, it is given for work. This is why, when a man receives the anointing and does not employ it or deploy it as designed by God, it could be disastrous to him; the natural fat in the body of man gives us a basic understanding to how Spiritual fatness operates too on a man. Therefore, the God gives man His anointing for work and not for pleasure.
