In Malachi, we find that God judged both aspects of the priesthood. The Levites were judged because they taught the people what they wanted to hear rather than what Almighty God had instructed them to teach. At the same time, the priests compromised on the biblical requirements for offerings to God because of convenience (or fear) to please the people. The result was that God’s instruction and His altar became contemptible. The same is happening today. Reviewing congregational demographics to determine what should be preached, rather than going to the mountain to hear from God, has become the norm. Preaching the truth of God’s instruction has been replaced with appeasing the Laodicean-minded, carnal congregant.
However, things are about to change. The Remnant are waking up all around the world; they are hungry for truth and grieved over the ascendency of sin within their societies. There is a shift toward biblicity that is growing with every passing day! Heaven is taking note, and a new book of remembrance is being opened in Heaven for this generation!
