0:08 - The tragic mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, last weekend, was perpetrated by an 18 year old who livestreamed from his phone as he walked through a supermarket in a predominantly Black neighborhood, executing shoppers. In a 180-page manifesto, he explained that he targeted that supermarket specifically because it was in the most heavily Black zip code in New York state. He associates himself with a white nationalist conspiracy called "the great replacement theory," which has also been used in other white terror attacks in recent history. We are joined by Michael Edison Hayden (@MichaelEHayden [1]), senior spokesperson with the Southern Policy Law Center’s [2] Intelligence Project – which monitors the radical right in the US.
