In this episode we introduce the concept of the shadow or the shadow personality. First brought to prominence by Carl Jung, the idea is based around there being a darker side lies within us all. You only have to look the fascination the public has with psychopaths, serial killers and gangsters to get a glimpse into this. Perhaps its sensationalist but perhaps there’s a part of us that is interested to know what it would be like to live like this, perhaps even a little jealous if we dare to admit it.

 

In this series we will be interviewing these types of people, people who have lived or continue to live life on the edge, but to begin with, we wanted to explore this concept (the shadow) to understand what it means, hopefully revealing why we find these types so fascinating and setting up the season which is to follow…
