Mike Kim provides an audio essay about Veteran Consciousness and delves into the perceptions of the veteran as a path into understanding "Veteran Consciousness". And so, the Veteran's lived experiences, encounters, and memories are understood from the point of perception, and not universal generalizations made by those outside of the Veterans direct experience.
