Hello and Welcome to Unearthing Wellbeing with me Ask Elizabeth, Where Our Greatest Wealth Is Health.
These episodes were recorded shortly after COVID-19 lockdown eased in Melbourne, thus, the discussions surrounding the whirlwind experience, Christmas and 2020 in general were in mention.
This episode I had Motoring Journalist and Presenter Emma Notarfrancesco on the show. She has been on Aussie television screens for the last 10 years including: Sunrise; Channel Ten’s News; reporting for international soccer events; then covering the Supercars pitlane. Emma presented for Which Car’s automotive show, was a host and executive producer for Australian Superbikes, and reported for Australian Grands Prix, interviewing the likes of Daniel Ricciardo. Emma is also a proud ambassador for not-for-profit organisation ‘FIA Girls on Track.’
I definitely felt like I was speaking to a girlfriend and that is exemplary of how easy Emma is to talk to. She was so chill, passionate and inspiring! We spoke about how COVID-19 saw her close some doors and open new ones, whilst in the process being able to show her viewers the “real Emma” during her Legends In Lockdown segment. Although motorsports makes up a big portion of her identity and livelihood, we also explored how fashion, skin-care, checklists and family are pivotal in respects to who she is.
To find out what unfolded, tune into this week's episode.
Topics covered: racing, journalism, reporting, women in motorsports, skincare, self-care, burnout, careers, covid-19.
