This week on the podcast I had Simon Holloway on. Simon is one of the founders of Vegepod and currently heads up the “Community” division of the organisation. Apart from being passionate about enabling every single person to grow their own food, irrespective of location, age or type of abode, he is also personally and professionally vested into the whole world of therapeutic horticulture.
Simon espouses the joy and benefits of growing your food beyond taste and organic living, including evidential elements around mental health, the environment, sustainability, family and community bonding, inclusion, societal improvement and spirituality.
We spoke about all this as well as the direct links Horticulture has on one's Holistic Health, which in times like this are so important to learn about and then implement into one's life. I am so passionate about this not only because I am a counsellor but also because I am a holistic health advocate on the journey of pushing the boundaries of what it is to be in good health, further trying out their VegeBag’s and my experience has been one of delight and pure joy.
So going back a few steps, Vegepod is an Australian launched company which offers self watering raised garden beds, which caters to all demands and demographics, including those with: back problems; disabilities; children; parents; elderly, which is so special!
You can listen to all the benefits of beginning your journey of horticulture on your holistic health today.
