Things have a way of turning out different from what we expect – that was the case at the first Easter. The enemies of Jesus who arrested Him and arranged His crucifixion had not expected the ending. The disciples expected a funeral and instead they got the opposite.

Everything involving Jesus leading up to and at Easter was not what people expected, whether they were for or against Him. His final week was filled with unexpected twists and turns. There was life instead of death, light instead of darkness, and a beginning instead of an end.
