Luke gives a detailed account of the birth announcement of both John the Baptist and of Jesus. Both of these birth announcements, starting with John, came at unexpected times and were given to unexpected people in unexpected places which led to unexpected blessings. Unexpected blessings of God’s kingdom are encountered on the long road of faithfulness and obedience.
