Matthew 1 verse 1 to 17 is usually overlooked whenever we read the scriptures. Most times we glance through those verses because we feel that it is a waste of time. Well, It shouldn't be. The genealogy of Jesus does not just show His root but emphasizes the need to never look down on people or ourselves. Unexpected people were part of that lineage. Rahab, the prostitute, Ruth, and Tamar, these were women who would have been written off in this age. They were part of the process. God can use anyone. God really astonishes the wise.
