Luke 22:19 – And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
As Jesus and the disciples ate their Passover meal, it was to be their last supper together. Jesus taught them how the bread represented His body which would be broken and bare the stripes for the infirmities, the sicknesses, the diseases of us all. He would become the cursed… to set us free from the curse.
Jesus taught them how the cup would be the new covenant, paid for in His blood for the forgiveness of our sins. He was the Lamb without spot or blemish that was given to set us free from our sins, our iniquities, and infirmities…
And when we partake in the Communion meal, we do it as a memorial, we do it to remember His sacrifice for us. And we do it and receive our healing and our forgiveness, by faith so that we can be the Unexpected Warriors God created us to be!
