There are things I understand about being alive. What I don't understand is how easily surviving becomes making something of yourself. So this is me trying to figure out how to participate in a world I don't entirely agree with, without giving all of myself to it.
What happens when the same lesson keeps finding you in different forms?
Learning can feel stupid. Growth can feel humiliating. Sometimes we understand exactly why something happened and still hate that it happened. Sometimes we know we need to leave and still don't want to. Sometimes we learn the same lesson five different ways before it finally sticks.
Maybe being human is just constantly becoming someone new, while occasionally running into the people we used to be.
What happens when you've been angry for so long that you're not even angry anymore? A Field Note about rage, exhaustion, numbness, and what we do with the knowledge of constant pain.
This is a Field Note about hope, faith, the body, the spiral, and the strange little possibility that maybe something you haven't imagined yet is waiting on the other side of tomorrow.
We don't just remember people- we remember ourselves through them.
A Field Note about complicated relationships, memory, grief, love, hurt, and the people who become part of our personal mythology.
This episode is about the stories we create about the people we've loved, lost, outgrown, forgiven, and never fully understood- and what happens when we stop trying to turn complicated human beings into simple characters.
Maybe moving forward doesn't always mean erasing someone.
Maybe it means learning how to let multiple truths exist at once.
What if some of the things we think are permanent are really just things we’ve gotten used to?
A strange thought about pap, history, culture, and the invisible seams holding our ideas of “normal” together.
Maybe the world is a lot less fixed than we think it is.
A reflection on growing up, changing quietly, and realizing that becoming yourself doesn't have an ending. What if becoming yourself was never supposed to be something you eventually finish? This field note is about growing slowly, changing without noticing, paying attention to the tiny moments that shape us, and learning to be a little less afraid of not having all the answers.
Maybe becoming isn’t a destination.
Maybe it’s just what happens while we’re busy living.
Awareness is supposed to make life easier.
We're told that once we understand ourselves, everything else is supposed to fall into place. But what if awareness isn't the cure? What if it simply allows us to see the world more clearly, even when that clarity feels uncomfortable?
In this first field note, I explore the strange relationship between awareness, existential dread, and the quiet hope that maybe understanding ourselves isn't about fixing our lives, but learning how to live with the questions they leave behind.
These are just some unfinished thoughts. 🌼
Some grief arrives without a funeral.
This Field Note is about childhood, ordinary endings, and the strange feeling of realizing that time has quietly carried you somewhere else.
