Thoroughly enjoyable
As a refreshing breath of air, this teen super hero story was not long-winded or repetitive in its description of the main characters coming to grips with their powers. Nor were we subjected to the pervasive complaint/whining tone of self absorbed insecure character development, many authors immediately go to, to show the struggle to cope with their new-found powers. Unfortunately that tactic has us the readers having to deal with a story plot with actual potential that falls short....heck is decimated due to the authors failure to recognize repeating the same insecurity issues over and over is unfortunately not character growth. Mr. Padilla moves this story along nicely. There is much potential in this story plot and I do look forward to the next installment.
An excellent super boy meets super girl tale
A really good clueless boy meets girl tale. The buildup is excellent and the hero while super is not a god either. A very human tale of good guy meets good girl.
Fun read!
Unfurled is a page turner! Mr. Padilla's excellent writing style puts me right in the middle of the action. I love the humor in the story too. This is a fun read. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

Training hero 101
Believable personalities for hero and girl friend. Unusual in that not only is she the brains of duo, he freely admits that.
