Together with Dr. Ingmar Hoerr we explore the scientific background of mRNA. He founded the biopharmaceutical company CureVac and is a pioneer in the field of messenger RNA. His company was one of the first ones to develop therapies which are based on this technology that “is comparable to a software helping the body to reprogram itself.” Even the Gates Foundation has been involved in the company since 2015 and by now, CureVac managed to raise about 640 million USD with the Federal Government of Germany contributing most of it.
