Dayle Berggren and Marti Garrison will share the pulpit this Sunday, offering their thoughts on generosity and love for our fellow beings, using the teachings of Jesus as our model.
Marti will share the Hebrew concept of Hesed and how Jesus illustrated that unconditional love through the story of the Good Samaritan. She will also talk about how important social justice is to her. Marti is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, a retired chaplain, and the Unity CR office administrator.
Dayle's talk will be about love, the loaves and fishes, and the gifts of both giving and receiving. She is a 20-year member of Unity of Cedar Rapids, a teacher, an ordained minister and a student of Life.
