A few Democrats are floating the idea of universal basic income (UBI) in response to the coronavirus crisis. They propose that the government should send each American $2k/month per adult and also $2k/month per child for up to 3 months after the end of the crisis. UBI is not a right. And it's not something our government should be seriously entertaining.
