From our Fieldays 2021 interview series Sam talks to Scott from the University of Waikato Engineering department.

They team up with different growers and organisations to overcome problems within industry. On display at this years Fieldays the University of Waikato team had on display a kiwifruit orchard survey robot, an grape vine pruner and a robotic asparagus harvester.

Sam talks to Scott about the asparagus harvester to learn how involved he was with it, and the 2 different ways of approaching grape vine pruning.
