Ashley Llorens is a brave 26-year old whose world was turned upside down after a tragic car accident just two years ago. Ashley, along with her twin sister suffered severe spinal cord injuries and became new members of a group so many of us tend to dismiss, the disabled. In this episode, Ashley and I discuss her friendships, future, accepting her new self, and unlearning her internalized ableism. Most importantly Ashley reminds us to just be happy and grateful for what we have because everything can change in an instant.
