Religion simply breeds formalism and hypocrisy.
Formalist and Hypocrisy are two of the greatest enemies of genuine faith inside the tent of those who at least call themselves Christians on the outside. Formalism and hypocrisy, while they appear to be two different people in the story, you almost always find them together because one creates the conditions for the other.
Ecclesiastes Chapter 5 seems to take a turn away from the futility of life under the sun and give us breath of fresh air as we consider how we are supposed to worship
