Two lithium battery shipment fires. Two different states. One week apart. In California, a BNSF freight train was being burglarized in the Cajon Pass when a railcar loaded with lithium-ion vehicle batteries caught fire. The car burned for 14 hours. In Florida, a semi hauling lithium batteries caught fire on I-75 in the middle of Alligator Alley, shutting down the highway for several hours.
