After moving to Spain 11 years ago with three young children, we found ourselves far from everything familiar and face-to-face with realities we didn’t yet know how to name. While realizing we weren’t alone brought some relief, it also revealed that awareness alone wasn’t enough.

This episode is about taking the mask off — not just admitting things are hard, but choosing honesty as the starting point for growth and healing. We reflect on how unresolved experiences shape relationships, parenting, behavior, and insecurity, and why simply surviving isn’t the goal.

As we look back on 40 years of life, we share why we believe the gospel remains central to real change.
