When summer comes, Unnie spends all his time playing with his toys. After a while, he gets bored and wants something new to do. He notices that his neighbor, Innie, is never bored. Where do you think Innie finds these adventures?
Here are some ways to engage students using this story:
1. Invite students to talk about the best story they have read or heard so far. Encourage students to re-tell the story to the class in their own words.
2. Ask students to share fun games they like to play with their friends. Those more comfortable can also try sharing the rules of the game (in a sequence)
