Welcome back to our solo series - 'Unpack That' where we, two raging Leos get to have the stage. Join us as we unpack what we're reading, watching or listening to. Everything from pop culture to politics, we will share our commentary on current events and all the topics that have inspired, infuriated or amused us.
And we will reflect on what our unlearnings have been for these mystery topics!
From bushfires to pandemics and now floods, our federal government has been under a lot of scrutiny over the past few years. But one topic that has been highly criticised is support for women and their response to sexual assault or harassment allegations.
In this episode of ‘Unpack That’ we give a quick refresher of who Grace Tame and Brittany Higgins are and why we should know who they are. We unpack the media response to the Australia Day eve photo opportunity that Scott Morrison had with Grace Tame and how gender is a problematic part of it. As well as where do we go from here? Will the Australian Human Rights Commission's Report by Kate Jenkins, which reviewed Parliamentary Workplaces set a new standard for behaviour in the highest office?
