Unpacking Bexley

This episode we're addressing community concern surrounding changes in the current version of the Bexley City Schools' facilities plan, which would build a new middle school where the Cassingham softball field currently is and replace the natural turf fields at Montrose and Maryland Elementaries with artificial turf.

State tax dollars fund 1/6 of our schools.  That funding is currently on the state budget cutting block.  The state is looking to force Ohio schools to refund levied taxes through a new 30% maximum reserve requirement.  Hear about how this affects the Bexley Public Schools and how you can get involved to keep our schools financially strong.

Contact Ohio Representative Dontavius Jarrells & Ohio Senator Hearcel F. Craig to let them know you oppose the 30% reserve requirement and want to see schools remain fully funded.  Reach out to other representatives and senators you may know as well.  Keep in touch with what's going on at the Bexley Public Schools on their website or social media.
