Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan says the establishment of the Transmission Entity under Eskom holdings is the most urgent priority. He says the transmission's core function will be to promote capital investment, to catalyse energy efficiency and maintain cost sustainability. Gordhan says the Transmission subsidiary will have an interim Board fulfilling an oversight role.
