Hi Tater tots!

It was my birthday and what better way to spend it than to talk into my mic for 20 minutes and empty my brain a bit?

I am coming to realize that I am a very reflective person and I spend a lot of my time thinking about my thoughts, behaviours, and life in general. I am grateful to have this space to talk about things on my mind when I feel ready!

This birthday has been like others in this self-reflective sense, but it's been also very different in my approach. I hope you enjoy this episode! I talk about my favourite birthday tradition, how important gratitude is in my life, and how the recent world's events have been heavy on my heart and how I have been dealing with that.

It is so important to do this type of self reflection work, and if you are here reading this/about to listen to the episode there is a good chance you feel similarly. If that is you, I want to remind you as always: be kind to yourself and gentle with your heart. Show yourself the compassion you show others and don't forget to spend some time to decompress and clear your mind once in a while too ♡

Hello Tater Tots!

It has been almost a year since my last episode... I thought it was around January when I posted last but I just checked and it was December!! Thank you for your patience as I navigate this new chapter of my life. I am happy to be back and updating you.

I wanted to talk about my self-compassion journey. From thinking it was "cringe" to be kind to myself and how practicing it everyday has shaped and changed my life in a way I never thought it could. I could probably talk about this topic for hours tbh.

I mention this in the intro, but I accidentally deleted the audio recording from my entire episode - but I did start filming myself part way through so I was able to salvage the audio from that - but I will warn you the quality is not the best! So I hope you can look past it for todays episode, I decided the content and message behind the recording was more important than the quality so I am uploading it as is! (If I had taken that audio engineering course as I planned to I probably could have fixed it but here we are ahah)

I've missed you all. I plan to make episodes as I feel and not on a consistent schedule. I also have decided to share more of my personal life through youtube videos and share more "everyday content" so if you want a peek at my daily life come on over!

Do you ever feel like you’re rushing through life? Looking forward to the “next best thing” and achieving goals is the only time you feel truly fulfilled?

I do this all the time, and I have been actively trying my best to slow down, be mindful of my present moment, and acknowledge and practice gratitude towards all the amazing parts of my life rather than focus on the challenges I’m facing.

My hope for this episode is that it encourages you to allocate some of the time and energy you use on everything else in your life - to yourself! Instead of rushing through life, I hope this helps you see the benefit to slow down and truly feel and experience life. Even if it’s a difficult time. Life is meant to be experienced. Every little bit of it. ♡

Hello tater tots!

Divorce taught me so many things. Making a decision for myself and myself only was the absolute best thing I ever did.

It was really difficult at the time, but because of that tough decision and those hard times in my 20s I was able to learn who I was a person on a deeper level, figure out what I wanted and I found something infinitely better for me.

The main take away for me was that society’s standards, timelines, and expectations were meaningless. And we are socially programmed to think that they mean everything - when in reality, they don’t mean shit.

Living your life the way you want to, is the best gift you could give yourself.

Hello Tater tots! Welcome back to another episode!

So happy you’re here to join me on this episode where I unpack my own experiences and opinions on taking things too personally and too close to heart and how active efforts to understand and grow from it has changed the way I view (and behave in) confrontations in relationships.

I used to take certain things too personally. In more ways than one. When the people in my life had problems or issues in their lives I would want more than anything to help them or fix it. When I had disagreements with partners I would instinctively take the issues they brought forward as a direct reflection of my own actions, when in reality, that wasn’t really the case.

I learned that it’s important to keep a balance between taking what people share for face value, and hold space for differences and staying curious of other’s perspectives, views, and world lens.

I hope this episode helps you in some way, and as always, this is a very general and broad take on a complex topic, so take what I say with a grain of salt! My goal for this channel is to create curiosity and spark self exploration.

Do you ever feel like you have to do everything perfectly? Like failure isn’t an option?

That’s how I felt for a long time, but I realized one day that making mistakes is a part of life and it actually can lead you closer to the things that you connect with better! Relationships, careers, friendships, everything.

I have been having so much fun creating content lately, I hope you're enjoying watching the videos as much as I am creating them!

For this week's episode I wanted to talk about fear and excitement and how it shows up the same way in our bodies - and how important it is to recognize and acknowledge that in order to understand ourselves better.
