In today's world, we're surrounded by screens and notifications that constantly grab our attention. Social media updates and email notifications bombard us, making it hard to focus and get things done. But why is this such a big problem? How does all this digital stuff affect our ability to think clearly? And most importantly, what can we do about it? To shed light on this topic, we're joined by an expert in educational psychology, Dr. Abraham E. Flanigan.
Guest - Abraham E. Flanigan, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of educational psychology at Georgia Southern University. Dr Flanigan is the senior chair of the American Educational Research Association's Studying and Self-Regulated Learning Special Interest Group. He specializes in factors influencing undergraduate motivation and self-regulation, such as digital distraction, student-instructor rapport, and note-taking mediums. Dr Flanigan has been recognized as one of the most productive early-career educational psychology researchers globally.
