One of the many things I wish I would have reminded myself while pregnant is that you can't plan for everything, especially how you birth your child. That baby has its own plan and we are just here to make it happen! On today's episode, I got to hear someone else's birth story that made my birth story sound like a throwback Mariah Carey song (you know what I'm talking about..just rainbows and butterflies. C'mon people.). Linda Bui, who to me is one of the chicest, most creative, and fellow Type A planner like Moi, talks through how she didn't have an easy pregnancy and during labor finds out she has AFLP a rare, potentially fatal complication that occurs in the third trimester that even had rare disease doctors at a top NYC hospital stumped. We also ramble on about a few other topics such as, how to tell your Mom to stop be annoying when they are dishing out too much advice.
