Hello everybody, and welcome to Unquestionable with Calvin Smith.
A few years back, I fell into a rabbit hole of believing any and all conspiracy theories I heard of on the internet. From Bigfoot, to alien abduction stories, to human civilization dating back further than the common consensus of 3,000-4,000BCE. It wasn’t until my first read-through of the Bible that I began to not only question my own faith, or what there was left of it, that I dug myself out of my borderline ridiculous tin-foil hat hole. My thought process was, “if I am applying this much skepticism to my religious beliefs, I need to apply that same amount of skepticism to the other claims I believe.”
The point of this show is getting to the bottom of what people believe, and why they believe it. This includes belief in the supernatural, paranormal, religious, and that the origins of us humans in school textbooks is incorrect. Because I want to know as many true things, and as few false things as possible.
Is the Bible a reliable source for truth? Did the lost city of Atlantis actually exist? Is the Sphinx older than 4,500 years-old? Do we have good reason to continue belief in ghosts?
I examine all of this, and more, in Unquestionable with Calvin Smith
