Professor Grosfoguel presents an overview of the epistemic framework of 'modernity' using the key date of 1492 (CE). Beginning with a c aution against transhistoricism, Grosfoguel goes on to analyse the discourses of racialisation and supremacism that underpin Eurocentric normative thinking, and challenges listeners to reject the internalisation of those norms.
