In this episode we are joined by one of Nudgee’s longest serving and beloved staff members. He has been associated with Nudgee for over 51 years, 5 DECADES, dating back to 1975 when he started here as a student! He’s held numerous roles including academic staff member, House Dean but most well known for his time as Director of Track and Field. He has more passion and love for Nudgee than anyone. It’s the one and only, Peter Kropp.

Since 1986, today’s guests have gone on to be one of the most well known, active and loyal members of the Nudgee College community. For over FOUR decades, Paul and Jo Curran have been the face of the Nudgee community actively involved in all things NUDGEE! In fact, they were one of the first married couples to start living on the College campus! Paul started as a Boarding staff member in 1986 and joined the academic staff in 1991. He has held a multitude of roles, such as Head of Boarding House, Maths, English, Religion & Marine and Environmental Studies teacher. As well as being past parents to both Joseph and Daniel, Jo is a driving member of the community holding roles in both the Ladies Auxiliary and Past Mothers’ Association.

A trailblazer for women in Rugby League, our next guest represented the Queensland Maroons and Australia during her playing career and continues to contribute to the game as a commentator for Fox League! Currently the Director of Students for Years 7-9, Joanne Barrett is a leader both on and off the field and joins us today to talk about the lessons she learned during her playing career and in the classroom!

Dr Stephen Daley, was not only the College Captain and Dux of 1994, but is the College’s most recent Rhodes Scholar! After graduating, he went on to study veterinary science at the University of Queensland then completed his Doctorate of Philosophy in immunology at England’s Oxford University! Not only is Stephen an incredible inspiration to our academic community he also played 1st XI Cricket, 1st V Basketball AND 1st XV Rugby whilst at Nudgee! INCREDIBLE! Let's get into it!
