The motor car is so much a part of human life after more than a century of it, that we no longer really see it – it's an immuteable part of living. But if we looked at it properly, we might be a bit weirded out by just how much it's shaped the planet in no time at all. Is it fiend or friend to us – especially in the population boom climate crisis years? Is the revolution in car design an excuse to keep the old problems going or could there be a mutation hiding in the machine?
