The Miami Strangler was an unknown perpetrator who terrorized Miami during the mid to late sixties. He earned the nickname the Miami Strangler after killing at least nine women by strangulation. However, the perpetrator's MO was inconsistent, with some victims being bludgeoned to death instead of strangled. The crimes occurred in downtown Miami and appeared to be sexually motivated, although no sexual assault actually occurred. The Miami Strangler was only linked to nine murders, but there may have been additional killings that were not connected to him.
