Following the gruesome story of the previous episode featuring the Monster of Florence, Shaun opts for a change of pace and tells of one of Australia's most beguiling and enduring mysteries, the case of the Somerton Man or as it is sometimes called the Tamam Shud case.

On the 1st December 1948, two teenagers discover the body of a well-dressed man propped against the wall of Somerton beach. There were no wounds or bruises that could explain his death. Witnesses would later report they'd seen a man alive the night before, believing him to be sleeping off a beer too many on an early summer evening.

Initial police investigations find nothing but dead ends.

However, It was during the inquest a few months later, that a 'secret pocket' would be discovered that would reveal a strange and peculiar clue. A scrap of rolled up paper with two words written on it 'Tamam Shud'.
