Dr. Seaman has been studying the relationship between diet and chronic inflammation since 1987. In 2002, he wrote one of the first, if not the absolute first, scientific article that outlined the dietary induction of chronic inflammation.

His scientific papers about diet, inflammation, and pain have been cited by researchers at Harvard Medical School on three occasions, as well as by many researchers at other universities in America, Canada, Brazil, Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa, India, China, and Australia.

He has written 3 nutrition books for the general public:
