I am a medically retired police officer of 18 years. I spent 18 years as a road patrol officer and ten years as a tactical operator (SWAT). I sustained an on-duty injury in which I suffered a traumatic brain injury. I spent ten months doing intense brain rehabilitation and was off work for one year and nine months. I returned to work as an officer and tactical operator and began working at the police academy as an instructor.

 Subsequently, after two years of being back to work, my cognitive issues from the TBI forced me to be medically retired.   I spent the next three years as a peer advocate with The Wounded Blue organization assisting other police officers that were struggling as I did. I eventually became a director within The Wounded Blue and helped create the Partners with Paw program. This was a program in which we provided therapy dogs to officers in need at no cost to them.   Still suffering from PTSD and vivid nightmares, I was introduced to a company called Stella.  

Stella offer's a medical procedure that has a very high success rate of treating PTSD and the symptoms that follow. After electing to have this procedure and the incredible success that followed, I volunteered to advocate for Stella to other first responders. I assisted with making this procedure known so others could benefit as I have.
