Have you ever tried to stop a story from spreading? Maybe it was embarrassing or potentially harmful? But for whatever reason, you wanted to make it go away. 

In John’s Gospel, despite the best efforts of the religious leaders to prevent its spread, Lazarus’ resurrection story takes on a life of its own. And as his story spreads throughout the region, more and more people come to see this man, Jesus, who raised his friend from the dead.
