All of us have a dysfunctional loop in some area of our lives.
Uncomfortable Feeling – Irrational thought – Unhealthy action – Painful consequence – Uncomfortable feeling
The fear of different chains us to the pain of the familiar.
Everyone needs to know how to get unstuck from a dysfunctional loop.
“I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness.”
- Jesus of Nazareth – John 10:10
If God loves me why doesn’t He just fix me?
God will not rob us of:
- Dignity of Choice
- Nobility of Overcoming
One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”
- John 5:5-6
“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me…” Jesus said to him, “Get up, pick up your mat, and walk.” Immediately the man got well; he picked up his mat and started walking.
- John 5:7-9
God sees you
God cares about you
God wants to help you
Following Jesus is the different we need to be free from our dysfunctional loops.
