I wanted the challenge of writing a 40's style song and tried to capture a feeling of a wife saying goodbye to her husband at the beginning of his call-up in the 2nd World War when she could not know when or if she would see him again.

I am a retired nurse that discovered that she could write songs. To my surprise after writing my first song at 58 years old I found I was able to write lyrics for a variety of genres and make up melodies. By then singing the words to musicians/music director/producers the backing tracks are then made and vocalists record. I do not wish to be a performer. I love writing songs and am lucky enough to have met many very talented musicians and singers who are willing to work with me.
