Raising Doubts
The Resurrection is a fantastic story. We get lots of angles from our Gospel writers. They were either eyewitnesses themselves, or they spent time investigating, interviewing those eyewitneeses that feature in the accounts.
What we get in each of the accounts is that none of these eye witnesses expected Resurrection. It took them by surprise. So we see shock, tears, joy, confusion, wonder – all in these accounts. We also see doubt – in Matthew’s gospel – just before we get the great commission in chapter 28 Matthews says -
